Honeybees are buffered against undernourishment during larval stages

چکیده
The negative impact of juvenile undernourishment on adult behavior has been well reported for vertebrates, but relatively little is known about invertebrates. In honeybees, nutrition long to affect task performance and timing behavioral transitions. Whether how a dietary restriction during larval development affects the honeybees largely unknown. We raised in-vitro , varying amount standardized diet (150 µl, 160 180 µl in total). Emerging adults were marked inserted into established colonies. Behavioral nurse bees foragers was investigated physiological factors be involved regulation social organization quantified. Surprisingly, under different feeding regimes did not differ any behaviors observed. No differences observed parameters apart from weight. Honeybees lighter when undernourished µl), while they heavier overfed treatment (180 µl) compared control group normal (160 µl). These data suggest that restrictions do or physiology this insect despite producing clear effects speculate possible might compensated early period life.

Changes of digestive enzymes activity in Caspian Kutum (Rutilus frisii kutum) during larval developmental stages
The ontogenesis and specific activities of pancreatic (trypsin, chymotrypsin, amylase and lipase) and intestinal enzymes (alkaline phosphatase, aminopeptidase N) were investigated in Kutum (Rutilus frisii Kutum) from the onset of exogenous feeding (3 day after hatching, DAH) to the juvenile stage at 50 DAH. Trypsin- and chymotrypsin-specific activity showed similar patterns and increased with l...
متن کاملLarval and Post-Larval Stages of Pacific Oyster (Crassostrea gigas) Are Resistant to Elevated CO2
The average pH of surface oceans has decreased by 0.1 unit since industrialization and is expected to decrease by another 0.3-0.7 units before the year 2300 due to the absorption of anthropogenic CO2. This human-caused pH change is posing serious threats and challenges to the Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas), especially to their larval stages. Our knowledge of the effect of reduced pH on C. g...

متن کاملOdor Experiences during Preimaginal Stages Cause Behavioral and Neural Plasticity in Adult Honeybees
In eusocial insects, experiences acquired during the development have long-term consequences on mature behavior. In the honeybee that suffers profound changes associated with metamorphosis, the effect of odor experiences at larval instars on the subsequent physiological and behavioral response is still unclear. To address the impact of preimaginal experiences on the adult honeybee, colonies con...
متن کاملOntogenetic changes in lipids, fatty acid, and body composition during larval stages of Caspian Kutum (Rutilus frisii kutum)
Body composition and fatty acid profile of the body tissue of Caspian kutum (Rutilus frisii kutum) fish larvae were determined from fertilized egg to 50 days post hatching (dph). Feeding with rotifer started from day 3 to day 7 thereafter they were fed with dry food until the end of the experiment. The changes observed in lipid content and the decrease in lipid levels during larval ontogeny ref...
